That's the promise on my own laptop sticker, and it's how I run a night. I'm DJ Kevin (Kevin Cruz), the new DJ in town in Pontotoc, Mississippi — I bring a bilingual set that moves from cumbias and norteñas to corridos tumbados, bachata, and hip hop without losing the floor.
I moved here from Salt Lake City, Utah, where I spent around 10 years behind the decks. Now I'm bringing that experience to Pontotoc and North Mississippi.
My sets are built around the crowd in front of me: requests come in live at the venue, my mix follows the room, and my goal is simple — a dance floor that stays full from the first song to the last.
